Founder & Brand Strategist

Dan is the founder, Brand Strategist and eponym of DSR Branding (Daniel Stephen Rowell). Trust us, he’s much more creative at naming clients’ businesses than his own.
Across a five-year slog in a full-service boutique creative agency, Dan worked on household brands like The Coffee Club, Brisbane Heat, Betta Home Living (Electrical) and Seqwater. After seeing how a full-service agency offered branding as one of a multitude of services, Dan decided it was time to build his own legacy by focusing on his passion for branding.

On the back of this he developed one of Australia’s premier boutique branding firms, specifically by combining high-level brand strategy with award-winning graphic design.
Six years later, Dan has worked directly with over 100 founders to define or redefine their brand and help bring their vision to life, plus dozens of SMEs on branding, marketing and design.

When Dan’s not transforming brands you’ll find him with his wife Dee and daughters Bella & Gracie, exercising or playing golf. Originally from New Zealand, but don’t hold that against him, Dan is a sports nut and always keen to discuss rugby, cricket & basketball.

Lead Designer

Andy is a dedicated designer, focused on honing his craft in graphic design and branding.

Andy’s journey with DSR Branding began in 2017 as an intern, whilst completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from QUT. After graduating from Shillington Design College in 2021, he uses his refined taste as Lead Designer to ensure all projects at DSR are beautifully realised.

Combining a unique skill set with experience in Marketing, Business and Design, Andy is fascinated by how the many elements of a brand identity system work together to communicate a brand’s unique story.

Andy is a serial hobbyist and a talented athlete. So, when he’s not designing, you may find him walking the golf course, pounding Brisbane’s riverside pathways or, as an ex-barista, sipping the sweet taste of an Ethiopian batch brew.

However, you’ll always find him wearing Carhartt.

Cait is a dynamic creative committed to the process, with a hunger to absorb and practise exquisite design.

After 14 years in the hospitality industry, Cait traded in her apron for Adobe when she undertook study at leading design college, Shillington in 2020. This helped her unlock her design talents, develop a strong eye for detail and discover a penchant for brand strategy.

She brings curiosity and empathy to every branding conversation and is driven to find out the secret behind a business’ unique brand narrative.

Cait is a proud mum of one daughter and two dogs. So, outside of work, her time comes at a premium. When she does get some headspace to herself, she may spend it illustrating, mural painting or listening to a devilishly delicious murder mystery podcast.

Designer

Mitch is a designer and illustrator with a knack for devising big ideas and creative strategy.

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from QUT and, for the first 5 years of his professional career, worked in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). During this time, he completed both AWARD School and Shillington Design College, and still constantly seeks out new creative challenges to improve his visual communication skills.

Combining his sought-after expertise in SEO with his natural artistic abilities, Mitch possesses a set of skills that enables him to help brands excel in both the digital and physical space.

Mitch is a creature of habit. So, when he isn’t in the studio, you’ll likely find him pumping iron, running half-mara’s with his mates or conceiving more creative ideas over a cappuccino at his local cafe.
