Tamboran Resources, established in 2009, aims to aid the CO2 energy transition in Australia and Asia-Pacific by developing low CO2 unconventional gas resources. With strategic acreage in the Beetaloo/McArthur basin, they're poised to tackle domestic energy shortages and supply LNG plants.
Challenge
The challenge was rebranding Tamboran to reflect their innovative approach to energy solutions, emphasising their commitment to a net zero CO2 future while remaining approachable and sophisticated.
Solution
DSR Branding introduced "Blue Sky Thinking" as the tagline, encapsulating Tamboran's mission to merge top minds, technology, and capital for future energy solutions. The new logo, featuring a sky-blue sphere, symbolises global ambition and the transformative vision of energy solutions. This sphere, positioned above the ground next to the wordmark, visually reinforces the tagline's concept of high aspirations and innovation. The lighter, more refined, lowercase wordmark communicates Tamboran's approachability and sophistication as a global player in the energy sector.
Results
The strategic rebrand of Tamboran Resources culminated in a landmark achievement in 2021, with the company's successful listing on the ASX, raising $61 million. This public offering marked the country's most significant initial public offer for an oil and gas company in nearly a decade. The rebranding played a crucial role in positioning Tamboran as a leader in sustainable energy solutions, attracting significant investment and partnerships.
